| David Thomas and Associates is a full service residential and commercial interior design firm located in North Raleigh. David Thomas, owner and chief designer, has been designing on an international platform for over 40 years and has a separate degree in architecture and interior design from the University of Toronto. We have a team of university-educated professionals on staff as well as associates specializing in auto-cad; structural, HVAC & civil engineering; audio/visual and wine cellar consultants.
David Thomas has worked in the design/build business since 1967, providing custom home, interior and landscape design services for residential and commercial clients. Past projects have included custom residences from 800 to 38,000 square feet, renovations, historical restorations, hotels, museums and various commercial projects including offices, restaurants, bars and retail stores. These projects have been built in over 20 States, 9 of Canada's provinces, Mexico, multiple Caribbean Islands, Europe, Denmark, England, Japan and Australia. David Thomas personally has been featured on two PBS programs out of Boston for home renovation and historical restoration. His design work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Interior Design magazine, Metropolitan Home, House & Garden, Canadian Architect, Canadian Interior, Toronto Life, City & Country Home, Canadian House & Home, plus many news publications in Canada, Bermuda, Mexico and the USA. Locally, he has been published in the Triangle Business Journal, News & Observer, Cary Living, Living in Style, Midtown Magazine and Metro Magazine. David Thomas also designed homes in the Parade of Homes of Wake County since 1997 and the "Windy Hill House" in the Bermuda Home & Garden Tours. The firm has worked on many projects ranging in scale and form, adapting each to the needs of the client as well as the environment. David Thomas has worked internationally and imported from many countries, resulting in an extensive resource base of furnishings, antiques, reclaimed architectural artifacts and fabric, etc. What our firm would like to do is continue the quality level of work into the space planning, lighting and furnishing phases and create a living space that elevates your spirit and exceeds your expectations. |
